Well a game of mixed emotions afyer today
A Daylight robbery, but super proud of the team performance on the other hand
We started good, looked alive, looked strong, and was up for it today, everyone knew there job and executed it to perfection
We created more Chances, more opportunities, and looked by far the better team in every department, our determination, aggression, and team work was great to watch from the sidelines
Hayden put us in front with a great team build up goal, created from Logan marsh, a neat flick through from Sam and a top finish from Hayden. Class.
During the second half things went against us from the off, ball went out of play “ref sub”
I’m Making changes taking players off Staincross start the match from a throwing and subsequently score 🤷🏻♂️
A quick protest from myself but wasn’t bothered… unbelievable Jeff !
Some neat creative work down the channels from both sides with maisy and Oli M meant we having success out wide, we used this and targeted the channels and had Staincross defending and chasing for large spells of game, our second goal from Hayden from a well delivered corner from Connor and Hayden tapped in. 2-1 owls
Game management now for owls to see the game out, we played and passed calmly and slowed the game down, a long ball over top from Staincross was all they could hope for now as they certainly couldn’t out play us,
The ball came over, fins comes out to make a clearance, the player crosses the ball falls over and the referee blows a penalty to everyone’s confusion 🤣
Even the opposition coach looks at me and says “sorry” unfortunately “sorry” doesn’t win games !
Staincross convert from the spot with 2 mins left 🤷🏻♂️
I approached the ref and asked why, his response “keeper cleaned him out” 🤣
Full time whistle blows, 2-2 so we share the points today. Not ideal but hey Ho
Frustration initially as it’s a daylight robbery, but then I told the players how they Should be proud of there football and attitude today, we deserved the full 3 points but I couldn’t be prouder of every player today as you all dug in and worked for each other

POM - full squad, you all did yourself, your parents, and me proud today and we was by far the better team and just unlucky with some dodgy calls, but that’s football over the season I’m sure we will get some back to even it out 🤞
