U13s Yellows vs. Bramley

Yellow 13 v Bramley 1

A quick write up today ladies and gents….

Most games were called off this weekend however due to the bramley pitch been on such a slope it was draining well and held up fantastic for the game.

We started off playing up hill and this was tiring on the legs especially with the heavy pitch, our fitness is very good and our players really put a shift in for the first half knowing full well the second half was a huge advantage going downhill where we would really put pressure on them.

Bramley were surprisingly the ones to strike first, we looked all over, unsettled and asleep for the opening 10 mins, however once they scored this sparked us to jump into action and from then in it was a demolition job

Ozza and Harrison were running riot up front while our midfield we’re just interfering everything and cutting off every play bramley tried.

HT 5-1

The second half downhil we came alive now, Jaiden and his pace we’re terrifying while fin and Harrison were linking up great fin was putting some quality balls in and playing good passes and bringing players in to play, jack and Jude were using there size to full advantage and the bramley players struggled with our physicality at times, we played some really nice football although this was a top v bottom clash I admired the attitude of bramley they didn’t give up even though they have lost every game so far this season and they still worked hard for each other and remained positive 👏🏻

Our whole team played really well especially our defenders who had to step up today as Maisie and both Oli L were injured but cam, batey, Noah and Oscar Darby even did a stint to help, and captain Sam offered to drop back and support them, a real captains attitude shown there 👏🏻

Well done everyone today, tough conditions, however next week we have a cup game against a higher division who are towards the top of there division so I’m looking forward to a tough challenge for us and I’m sure you boys and girls will relish in the challenge, hopefully we have a full strength squad for this 🤞

Big thanks to parents for trailing the kids all over West Yorkshire every week, the team are flying and your continued support is massively appreciated.

Finally thanks to our very own Jordan Pickford (Ryan) this kid knows how to settle the game and waste time 😬😂
