Owls 6 - Garforth 1
Today we played a home league match against Garforth. We knew it would be a difficult opposition to play against, as Garforth have had some good results this season.
Garforth were a physical and well drilled team, with a solid defence and dangerous attack. Garforth took the lead in the first half despite numerous chances for Owls. Fortunately the team pressed on, got an equaliser and put away a penalty just before half time, to make it 2-1 Owls.
The second half continued as before, with Owls looking most dangerous and creating the most chances. Another penalty scored for Owls and three further goals meant Owls got the convincing win they deserved.
Coach Kris was pleased with the team's performance ..."every one of you played to the best of your ability and got your reward of 3 well deserved points well done everyone 👏👏👏🦉🦉🦉⚽️⚽️⚽️"
Coach Craig added "Absolute team work today! Hard strong opposition! All stars today ! Dan scoring a poachers goal, Matty controlling like a leader in midfield, Harry scoring a composed finish, Regan being a true keeper, Lewis showing his strength and power, Kyran breaking his goal drought, Sophie creating and scoring, Jayson skills all over the field, Amelia constant and reliable, William bossing the defence , Jay banging 2 and could have had more ! Well done all of you🦉⚽️👍"
