The wonderful ladies played their second league game today against Pontefract Sports and Social FC.
Unfortunately we had no subs which meant a full 45 minute (each half) for all of the ladies without having any reprieve.
The first 8 mins saw the ladies concede a goal with Ponte having broken through our midfield and defence before a great strike against our keeper. After this the game was very much in Ponte's favour, thankfully some great defending from our back line and some amazing saves from our keeper we were able to keep the score to a respectable 0-1 until the 36th minute when Ponte scored another goal taking us to half time with a 2 nil deficit.
Second half the Owls came out strong getting onto the score sheet with an amazing strike from our winger, bringing the score to 1-2 to Ponte.
Within mere minutes though Ponte came straight onto the counter attack and scored 2 goals in quick succession.
Unfortunately the Owls' heads dropped and their confidence was knocked. Ponte took advantage of this and managed to sneak another goal past our goalkeeper bringing the final score to 1-5 to Ponte.
