U8s Mixed at the Robin Hood Gala

What a brilliant morning the under 8s had today! This being our first Gala for we told the kids it was all about enjoying it in the end we came out 2nd overall!

Owls 1-0 Tingley - Fin Shadwell 2-0 Owls Airedale 0-2 Owls - Taylor Fin Ossett Town 2-0 Owls

Every single one of the kids today gave their all. They all fought for one another and always kept their heads up even when they conceded. 3 fantastic goals 2 from Finley and 1 from Taylor! As well as some fantastic defensive displays from Zak, Caleb, Henry, Taylor and Toby. Going foward Finley, Tyler, Ollie and Harry made it very difficult for teams to play out from the back putting them under intense pressure. Oliver made some very important saves throughout to help keep our 2 cleans sheets! The passing between the team has come so far in such a short space of time and was the big factor in why we did so well today.

Although we could if given it to anyone, our player of the gala today was Caleb. It was his first game let alone Gala with us and he looked like he had been with us from the start. Brilliant in defence throughout

Me, Graham and all the parents are all very proud of them. We’re really growing into a special team well done everyone! keep it up!
