Brief write up today ladies and gents
A wet morning today up at Manley Park and the yellows were in action following on from the Reds cup game against Rothwell juniors, the pitch was heavy, cut up, and we only had 10 men due to injuries, sickness, and holidays.
It was top of league v bottom but we told the boys to go into the game as if it was a cup final and not underestimate them.
Rothwell ended up playing with 10 men also as they turned up with 3 kids who were not registered so unfortunately they couldn’t play, much to the coaches disbelief.
It was a bit slippy, slidey, and if we had possession stats and game stats the yellows would have been off the charts with such dominance in every area this morning .
We showed great spells of attacking football and most of the goals came from great build up play with lots of good passing and link up play from the yellows.
A great display and great attitudes this morning, a good bounce back after last weeks result, and like we said to you it’s all about how you respond after a defeat and today you showed that fire and desire. Well done
