U12s Yellows vs. WET

Big cup match at Manley park for the yellows today, the sun was shining, the pitch was Perfect and the owls performance was outstanding.

The owls kicked off and we looked composed on the ball, confident, and we took up some good positions and covered the pitch well, the passing was really nice and clinical and the link up play was really pleasing to watch as the game got going, the game was end to end and a good ball behind our defence met by a bursting run by there number 11 saw them break the deadlock and go 1-0 up just before the halftime whistle went, the owls were not phased by this as we had a chat at halftime and the boys knew they were still in it and knew they were playing very well and this was the basis of the team half time chat.

The second half we came out firing on all cylinders and with some excellent vision caiden saw the GK off her line and out of Position and struck a shot beautiful and straight into the back of the net to level it up, the owls now started to pile the pressure on and the terriers were defending for there life, more creative football saw brilliant link up play and marshy got set free on the wing and drove forward and released a thunderbolt straight into the corner 2-1 Owls

The terriers were getting frustrated now and Oli L was his usual self and putting in crunching tackles and tempers flared as one of the terriers reacted after a great tackle by Oli L and she stood up and kicked out at him, she was lucky not to get sent off for this.

It was all about game management for the last 5 mins and we controlled this period brilliant and the final whistle blew and the owls are through to the next round of the cup.
