U12s Yellows vs. Osset

Owls 5 v Osset 2

Well my fingers have just started working again but still can’t feel my toes Miserable morning up at Manley park Cold, windy, wet but the tesm put on some performance and came out winners against a tough Osset outfit.

Evenly matched and both teams had equal share of possession as both sides searched for the opener, it came from a surging run from Noah who shot but went wide but ozza was there to sweep up and calmly stick it in the bottom corner to open the scoring up.

Osset then came back and increased the tempo after some subs and they soon got level then broke away again and went 2-1 up just before HT.

Team talk at HT was let’s get the early balls down the channels and use our pace in midfield and upfront to release ozza and jaiden who had some awesome shots saved from the oppo keeper in the first half.

Second half we came out firing on all cylinders and we used the wind to great effect, the defence in Oli l, James, Blake, Daniel and Dagen played some great balls out to the wings where fin made a surging run and struck a beauty from distance to level it up, we kept our pressure on and upped our intensity and a great ball over the top found ozza again who took a touch and set up and put us in front 3-2.

Our confidence had grown and we had settled into the half now and we looked dangerous every time in possession and Jaiden on his debut who had shown electric pace and skill all game was deservedly on the score sheet with a special goal 4-2 well done Jaiden lad.

We started just playing the clock out and passing around in the last 10 mins and with some great link up play with Amelia, fin and Jacob it saw us catch Osset out on the counter as they were committing too many forward and Jacob P set himself up on the left hand side as he drove forward with options from Oli M and Amelia but he backed himself and let his shot off with no hesitation to seal the game off with a 5-2 win!

GOALS Oli M Fin Jaiden Jacob P

MOM - Jaiden Unbelievable debut and a great goal, this kid has got electric pace, and vision, and to say it’s his first game he’s got great awareness and excellent ball control, a great addition to our teams this kid will be.

Thanks to parents for helping pack up at the end, and Sara for the hot chocolate at half time (she’s a good un)

Cheers for offering to ref John
