U12s Yellows vs. Garforth

YELLOWS 9 v GARFORTH 0

Excellent conditions at Manley park this afternoon as the yellows were back in league action against Garforth rangers, and with the season coming to an end the yellows just need to continue with there fine league form and keep there composure and see out the last 3 games, the pressure is still on as there is a few teams in the mix fighting to be crowned league winners.

We started with a great set up and formation with a great balance, of speed, presence, and composure, Maisy, Ellis, Oli L, Cameron, were all next level, they covered each other, had a great defensive line, knew there positions well from set pieces, and they passed around calmly, with bags of composure.

Centre of the park was Oli, Kwami, Ozza for the opening spell, with fin, Oscar D and Caiden all rotating around, we really dominated this area of the pitch today and Garforth couldn’t get a ball in to our half due to our pressing and intensity, and desire to win every ball, we work hard on this style of play and players really give it there all to ensure they win the duals, and battles.

Up front was a terrifying partnership for any defence to handle, the pace and hunger these lads show is something else, they both absolutely terrorised the opposition defence, and the timing of the runs was timed to perfection and they got in behind due to raw pace and skill on numerous occasions today.

Have to mention Ryan who had a quiet spell today but kept a clean sheet but as always he’s always ready and alert for an opposition attack, he was loud today and was constantly chatting to team mates about positions.

GOALS

Ozza Kian Jaiden Caiden

MOM Gilly - hard to pick today but I had to go with Jaiden and Kian absolutely fantastic, the pace and energy these lads have is frightening, and once on the ball the skill they possess is stunning.

Keith - Maisy, this player was phenomenal from start to finish, she has only played a few games for the club but the composure, and skill makes it an absolute joy to watch her, she didn’t lose a single dual, calmly too the ball and breezed passed players, and once on the ball her vision and touch was pin point accurate. Amazing!

Parents player - Cameron, strong performance, does his job that he is there to do, and gives 100% every game

A great game lads/lasses today, very proud of every single one of you today but let’s keep going and not take our foot off the gas yet.

We have 3 more games left with the next one on Thursday, and we currently sit pretty at the top of league with games in hand.
