U12s Yellows vs. Beeston

Owls 5 Beeston 5

A thrilling, end to end game for the Owls this morning against a very good Beeston side which wasn’t settled until the last kick of the game.

We started well, applied plenty of pressure and Kian gave us a deserved lead with a well taken finish. Beeston equalised against the run of play, but Kian completed his hat trick with another two goals. Beeston then scored a break away goal on the stroke of half time to pull it back to 3-2.

Nour tapped in to make it 4 after some great build up play just before Beeston pulled it back. Jacob fired home from close range to score what looked like the winning goal to make it 5-3. But Beeston carried on battling, pulled it back to 5-4 and then broke away to equalise in the last second of the game for a deserved draw.

Ryan was excellent in goal, talking well and closed Beeston down on several occasions. Ruby, Cameron and Fin all defended well at the back whilst Dexter, Nour, Abdullah, Daniel and Kwami all battled hard in the middle and passed the ball around well. Jacob and Kian were clinical up front and always causing problems.

Overall an entertaining game that the Owls could quite easily have won a draw was a probably a fair result.
