U12s vs. Garforth Rangers

Today's match was away at Garforth Rangers.

It was a cold morning, with a biting wind. Could Owls continue their unbeaten league wins this season?

The game started with end to end action, with Owls creating a few more chances and with Ethan scoring first for Owls.

Garforth did manage to get an equaliser just before half time, after a cleared ball was struck well by a Garforth player.

In the second half, Owls continued to press. Kyran and Matt dominated midfield and seemed to win most challenges, defence held well with William, Ryan and Amelia, and going forward with Jason, Sophie and Harry linking well together and creating lots of chances. Regan in goal had a good game as well, with some solid and brave saves.

Owls took two more goals to take it to 3-1, and then held on to the lead. They also pressed Garforth well and applied good pressure, for example with their goal kicks.

Well done to the team today. And thanks to the coaches (and Ben for being linesman).
